Oh by golly, have a holly jolly Christmas this year!!
'Tis the season for spreading Christmas cheer!
I was just given this fine award from Tammy over at My Life: Tales from Smurfland.
We have just recently "met" but she has become a favorite of mine very fast. She also has an 11 year old BOY, so she knows where I am coming from when I post stories like this and this!
I am very grateful for her kindness and her thoughtfulness for thinking of little 'ol me and giving me this award.
The rules are that I am suppose to share 10 honest things about myself. Since I'm still a little new to the bloggy world I thought that this would be a great time for some of you to get to know me a little better or either run screaming in the totally opposite direction. But I hope you stay.
10 honest things about me:
~ I do NOT drink or smoke…yuck to BOTH! This doesn’t mean I haven’t though. I am not a medicine taker. If I truly HAVE to take something I will, but if I can get by without it, I do. I also do NOT litter…it makes me mad, it makes me bitter!
~I might have a small case of OCD- I’ve never said that nor have I ever been diagnosed with it. But with certain things there must be an order. For instance, when I get ready to go to bed I MUST go and physically touch and make sure all the doors are locked, I tidy up the kitchen if its messy, let the dog out & in, give dog a treat, straighten out the table in the living room, open the Teenagers door, open the Lil Princesses door, turn off computer, plug in phone & go to bed. Is that considered OCD?? I also have a schedule…schedule is good. If I get off schedule my whole day is off.
~ The boy hit his head when he was 1 ½ and had 2 seizures one was an absent and the other a grand mal. (He has never had anymore-I truly believe it was due to him hitting his head) Since the seizures I have struggled with extremely bad anxiety & panic attacks. {But the last 4 years-things have been good!}
~ As you have read from here, I do not like to shop. But that surely doesn’t mean I don’t like new things. I am an electronics lover! If a new cell phone hits the market, I want it! {Still not in the crackberry club yet though!} If a new camera comes out, I want it! If a new computer is showcased somewhere listing all the new things it can do, I want it!! Yes, electronics to me are what stilettos and purses are to you.
~ I like to read. Although I don’t do it much, I truly enjoy it. If I find a book that captures me, then somehow I will find the time to read it, read it all, and read it fast.
~ I love poetry. I enjoy writing it. But I am not a fan of what I write…at all. I also am in LOVE with photography. My love for it grows deeper each and every day. I’d like to learn more and take a couple of classes.
~ I LOVE pink. Ever since the Lil Princess was born it has been my new favorite color putting black in second and baby blue in third.
~ My favorite holiday has ALWAYS been Valentine’s day. Nothing special has ever happened to make it a holiday favorite of mine. I just simply am in love with love.♥
~ I have NEVER been happy with the way I look. I'm too white, too fat, too many freckles, my nose is pointy, my mouth is entirely too big, my perfect teeth suck since having kids, in fact my entire body sucks since having kids {nothing is where it is supposed to be anymore}, my hair is too thin, my hair is too straight, it’s just never ending. I complain about it all the time, so I don’t want to complain about it here…this is MY.HAPPY.PLACE! :)
~ I always dreamed of having 3 kids. But after the man and I had a girl and a boy we were happy…4...four was a good number. We were even. But after 10 PROTECTED years, the powers that be decided that we must have 3! I'm embarrassed now to even admit or say but I was not happy-no, not at all! I did NOT want another child and definitely not NOW!! Maybe 8 or 9 years ago but not 10 years later!! A lot of dreams, hopes, and plans that I once had...they were not going to happen, not now at least. I was very depressed the first 3-4 months. I cried, I puked, I cried. Horrible times. Selfish times. When I finally came to my senses, when I heard that beautiful amazing heart beat, I fell in love. I fell in love hard, I fell in love fast. I adored this little miracle inside of me. How could I have ever thought this was a bad thing!? Lil Princess was definitely meant to be here-she was meant to be part of our family. Just like the rest of my life…I truly believe, we were all meant to be.
Are you still here?! I hope so.

Ugh- 7 is hard to do…I have MANY that are my favorites.
1. Serenity Now! Serenity Now! My buddy, my very first blogging friend that has truly captured my heart with her insane niceness towards the little nobody that I am. She is just GREAT!
2. Got Kids, Need Valium! If it wasn't for my #1 I wouldn't have met #2. And Leslie is another person who has truly become a wonderfully delightful friend to have.
3. Stethoscopes and Stilettos: Without knowing #2 I wouldn't have found #3. And I am beyond thrilled to have found her. On a DAILY basis she makes me laugh and I love that. Sunshine and Laughter should be her title.
4. Classy Chaos: Very classy, funny, smart and full of fun. I honestly just enjoy reading what she writes. She is one of the first blogs I ever read.
5. Nap Warden: Chronicles of a SAHM If it wasn’t for reading about her at #4’s blog I wouldn’t have that beautiful fairy "me" up there at the top of my page. Yeah she made it all. She is simply wonderful and very patient! Thank goodness!
6. The McMommy Chronicles She is just too much fun. Love reading what she writes and if I didn’t I wouldn’t have found our new Christmas tradition. She totally rocks!
7. Jogging in Circles I can’t say enough about her. I like the way she writes, I love the pictures she takes and she has an accent that she always talks about trying to hide-it makes me laugh. Why hide it? I like accents, I think they are cool! {Yeah I still think/talk like I’m in high school sometimes.}
I know some of you ladies might not "do" this stuff but I just wanted you to know that I truly admire you, what you do, what you write and the fact that you share your life and experiences with all of us. I am very thankful for finding such new great people that I feel I can call my friends.
