Schools all over from NC to VA were closed today (Thursday) because of the “November Nor’Easter”. We expected the rain and winds. We have dealt with hurricanes all my life but this thing, WOW it kinda shocked everyone here! I think what shocked us the most was the flooding that occurred. I expect this stuff from a hurricane but not an Nor’Easter and not to the extent of what I saw today.
Stuck in the house with 3 kids, starring out the window as I sat at the computer I decided that it didn't look THAT bad and I wanted to go take a few pictures. Idiot… I know!!
A few of pictures from around town…
The ducks were loving it!!
Overflow…
Sinking….someone is going to be ticked!!
The next 2 is the corn field located next to my house…it looked like a raging river!
I live in the “county” or as they call the “country”…this is the downtown “city” area.
My neighborhood….
It was crazy and downright scary at times so I didn't stay out long. I wanted to get back home because I was gettin scared my SUV wouldn't make it through a few places.

I hope all those families that got flooded are ok or on their way to make to getting their life to normal. With that said, I love the photographs you took.

Wow! We had that in Atlanta a few weeks ago. I think I prefer the drought to all the flooding!

Holy Cow that is a lot of water! Love the shot of the caution cone, very cool.
Who would have thought that would happen?

I love the "High Water" signs. Nothing like pointing out the blatantly obvious.
